1971 Dick Harrell 454 Super Camaro
Description:
- This is a very special and significant second generation Camaro / Super Car, which has never been offered to the public since it was discovered.
- It was ordered new through Bill Allen Chevrolet (a well known and often used Harrell Dealership)
- It is an original LS3 SS 396 Big Block which is one of only 1,533 produced that year by GM
- Loaded with options such as air conditioning and power steering.
- It is also an original factory Black Camaro
- It is believed to be the very last Super Car built by DHP, prior to Dick’s death.
- The classic chrome Cragar SS wheels are on the DHP invoice
- The fiberglass hood and hood pins are also on the DHP invoice
- DHP drivetrain conversion included, 454 engine as well as B&M Th400 trans and 12 bolt posi
- Original paperwork was acquired from the Dick Harrell Family
- The car is fully documented by work orders (loads of documentation) as well as officially certified by the Dick Harrell registry.
- There are very few Super Cars which maintain this level of documentation.
- Correspondence between DHP and the original customer who ordered the car is priceless!
- We believe that this may have been a 1971 LS6 aluminum head conversion as the paperwork only shows 454ci.
- The car appears to be very solid and rust free original GM sheet metal, with no prior accident damage.
- It was repainted a few years ago by Joe Schoenthaller.
