The original owner ordered this special Camaro on March 23rd 1973 from NicKey Chevrolet in Chicago and checked off the list of ”goodies.”
The Car was delivered to NicKey on April 18th 1973 and it was built to race. Its Best 1/4 mile time was an ET of 10.52 at 129 mph.
Never cut up or modified. Beautiful Midnight Green paint with Neutral Interior. One of three Stages NicKey offered for it’s Supercars. This one is the big dog, a documented Stage III. This Camaro retains original sheet metal, minus a rear quarter section, NicKey LS-6 454/450 hp engine, original Rocket racing wheels, original traction bars, original Lear Jet AM/FM 8-track stereo, and rear end. The original owner won a points championship in 1985 and part of his winnings was a 4-speed transmission, which is currently in car.
He eventually put the car up for sale in ’Drag News’ and soon sold the car with only 8500 miles, to a California dealer in 1990. It was immediately exported to Japan where the second owner had it for over 20 years.
The car was located and brought back to United States in August 2010.
It is in original rust free condition with a recent repaint and interior work.
It is one of the very best documented examples of the NicKey Marque!
